I think this might be a more appropriate section for my problem.

So I bought off a 'New and never used' sim card from Dave in this thread (https://www.speakoutwireless.ca/speak/phone-exchange/2speakout-sim-cards-30ea-shipped/page-1/) but when I activated it, it became invalid.

I contacted SpeakOut Wireless but they said the original phone number of the sim card was already registered to another sim card.

They won't/can't do anything because I'm not the original owner of the phone number and I can't prove that I was? If it was never used I don't see how that happened.

I've already given them the Sim card number, asked them to change the number, asked for a replacement, asked what they could do.

Said: Nothing because I'm not a SpeakOut customer (invalid sim card?) and they can't provide me service.

So basically I'm out $30 with an invalid sim card and no SpeakOut service to help me.

I'm hoping someone would have a solution to my problem that would mean getting a valid sim card and working service from SpeakOut without spending more money.
