I will try another sim card. If it is still not working, i will just sell the phone and buy a samsung s3.

Your iOCEAN X7 does not support the 1900 mhz band in 3G, and a lot of Rogers 3G towers are 1900 mhz only

When cut down in size to put in an Iphone or use in an android smart phone, they will provides 3G connection whenever applicable. You do get 3G speed in specific location.

If connection problem occurs, it is usually the band. However, iocean x7 usually used the foolowing network Band: GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz & WCDMA 850/2100MHz Which, only the GSM are used, and this look fine. So I'm not sure why it is having problem. Therefore I would say changing a sim card can potentially fix that issue.

Recently I upgraded to an Android phone (iocean x7) purchased online. But I am having troubles connected to the network most of the time. It seems that my phone is not able to connect to the 850 band. I suspect that my 2G sim card from Speakout is not compatible to the new phone. That's why I want to get a new 3G sim card to try it.
