I get the feeling that you couldn't get web content with a SO phone, just voice services.

If the phone has WiFi then you should be able to access the web at any hotspot.

Any unlocked quadband GSM would work, such as the iphone. However, none of the data services would work. You can SMS though if the device permits it. The older IPhones are noted for being one of the few phone that cannot SMS natively.

I've seen some touchscreen unlocked quadband GSM phones on Ebay and wonder if they'd work with an SO Sim card. Secondly, I get the feeling that you couldn't get web content with a SO phone, just voice services.
Can someone comment on these two points?
Thanks!
