You could probably get a 7 Eleven SIM card to work in your area but the difficulty would be in adding time since the only way to purchase time is from a 7 Eleven store.
I also live in an area where there are no 7 Eleven stores. I decided to go with Petro-Canada Mobility. The network and rates are almost the same. The main difference is they have a time limit of 180 days instead of 365. Every so often there is a special where you can buy a phone and start up minutes for a good price. That will give you a SIM card and then you can always upgrade to a better phone using the same SIM. Extra minutes can be purchased at any Petro Can station.

I live in NB and there are no 7/11 locations anywhere near here. The closest I believe is in Montreal.

Has anyone who lives in an area with no 7/11 been successful in activating a Speakout phone in an area code where there are no 7/`11 locations? Or been able to port an existing wireless number from a non 7/11 area to it? I saw one post somewhere about someone getting a 902 area code but no details.

I have the chance to maybe get one of these phones soon but I don't want to waste the money if I will be unable to port my current number to the SIM.
