The Blackberry 8520 is not a HSPA 3G phone, so that means this phone will not work on the Bell/Telus network. Bell/Telus do not support GSM. This phone can work in a limited way with WIND, but only when it uses the Rogers towers, which is expensive.

That doesn't make sense, I think the newest HSPA all use SIM card
Koodo/Telus/Bell all use SIM card. I've got Koodo SIM cards at home (used in Android phones)

Mobilicity/Wind uses AWS so not GSM

I thought that I could use it on any company, but when I went to buy a SIM card at Bell, Virgin and Mobilicity, they told me their network don't work with my phone. That is why I wasn't sure.

As long as your BB/8520 takes a SIM card, because it's unlocked it'll take any carrier's SIM card
