My friend is trying to sell me a Sony Ericson w810i that was active on the Rogers network. Would I be able
to use my speakout sim card?

More likely than not, it will work. However, I would swap the sim into the phone first before I pay any money, just to make sure.

I use my Speakout sim in a Rogers Nokia XpressMusic phone. No problems at all.
