Technically there is no difference between 416 and 647. Both are used for Toronto and cover the identical area for local calls.

Since 416 was used for this area the longest some consider it to be slightly more prestigious to have this as an area code.

I heard that a 416 area code is better than a 647 area code.... I was wondering what people think about this and why.
