Someone else has been using my number(recycled) to steal my time.

In addition to others' theory about not adding the airtime you purchased with a voucher, this statement doesn't make sense. Once you add airtime to your account it's associated with your SIM card in your phone. There's no way that a recycled phone number, which is associated with a different SIM, could use your airtime. If it was that easy then we'd all be at risk of having our airtime stolen.

Yup, I bet that's it. The small amount of usage is about right to use up the free minutes that come with the phone before you activate your extra $100 worth of minutes.

On the plus side, your $100 will last a year from NOW before you need to top up (to keep from expiring), instead of a year from when you bought the phone two months ago! Hopefully that is worth the scare you had. 🙂

Do report back and let us know if this solved your problem!

I also believe you only bought the air time card but didn't actually add it into your account. You said you bought it two months ago. You still have 30 days to add it into your account. But you better do it now. Otherwise you would lose this $100 if it expires.

This may sound like a silly question, but I had to ask my aunt this when I bought a Speakout phone for her.

Did you actually add the airtime to your account, or did you just buy the airtime card?

If not, what does the Speakout customer service say?

I bought my Nokia 2760 from a local 7-ll two months ago. I am an occassional user only, very sporadic. Imagine my surprise when I get a voicemail saying I don't have enough money left to make a local call. I bought $100 of airtime, which should have lasted me a year, at the rate I use the phone. I checked my usage log and I have made eight calls, all local, less than 2.00 minutes each.

Someone else has been using my number(recycled) to steal my time. I want it back. How do I go about seeing who has actually been using my number?
