Here's how to fix the voicemail issue - at least for BC residents per Customer Service - go to voicemail message box and insert the following - **16047629993

The ** key should be hit quickly and it will turn into a plus with the balance of the number as shown. When you now hit 1 Send or just hold the 1 down, it will dial the voicemail number - comes on in Francais first and then asks for your VM password.

Checked balance before and after - only charges .25 (local call charge) as CS indicated it would as I am a 250 area code and VM number is 604.

We are having the same problem with nokia 2760 in BC. I see later in your post CS gave u a number to check your voicemail from your cell - this number is only for Ontario - is there a separate for each province - is it toll free?

BTW - what number is supposed to be in your voice mail box - presumably your own or ....

There is no problem checking voicemail from landline -
just from the cell.

Any help appreciated

That's cool. I am in Niagara Falls. I noticed a few dead spots as well taking Niagara Parkway to Fort Erie. Both my Virgin/Bell phone and my Speakout/Rogers phone couldn't get a signal.

I also used to be with Telus. That was a big problem for me, especially living in a border town. My phone would get the American signal before the Canadian one.

Anyways, good to hear from you "neighbour"!

Yes, I want to check new (and saved) messages. Usually I save a message until I have time to call the person back, or hear the message again for more info.

Btw, I see your nickname is NOTL. Are you in Niagara-On-The-Lake? I went through there when I was with Virgin and found the Virgin/Bell coverage was really bad. I am curious how Speakout/Rogers coverage is there.
