You'll be able to get a prepaid starter pack from providers like T-Mobile or AT & T. They usually cost around $20, or cheaper, and come with a phone and sim. The package will have a walk-through on how to activate it.

I never used a prepaid sim card before.

I am going to the Chicago late in July and I will need a US # while I am there.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9700 unlocked and is ready to use.

My question is I don't know what to do after I get the prepaid SIM card?

I don't need much minutes while I am there (approx. 2-4hrs talk time).

Can someone please point me to the right direction?

Any help will be much appreciated.
