Yes i know it is nothing to do with the phone but with SO
So i am looking to buy a quad band phone which i read that this model comes unlocked then it should work and my minutes do not need to be deducted for sms that have not gone thru.

Am not sure why it is not smsing

Does anyone know about the 5130C does it come unlocked? my understanding it is a quad band.

I use google voice to send SMS but not all foregin provider allows it to go through and the list is unfortunately getting longer

I actually use my roaming SIM to send text to non NA phones as it is actually cheaper than sending out international SMS than through SO (or any canadian carrier) !

I just unlocked my speakout phone but still unable to send any text messages. Some error message saying contact service provider.

I am a bit concerned if i purchase another phone which needs unlocking and if this happens then i am not sure how this may work

Is there any way from the computer we can send free text messages?
Please let me know.

cost is 10c + 25c for oversea SMS. US number is not considered oversea(see below)

just in case people want to know:

the 10 dollar for 2500 message doesn't include oversea message. US number is included though

Yes it used to work as i purchase it as someone overseas was not well. but in april of this year i sent a txt and they did not get it. Luckily i sent also an email and they told me then that the txt was not received.

And a few days back i sent 3 txt overseas and my friend did not get it.

As I mentioned, I have a roaming SIM which I sometimes use and my partner(with SO SIM) text me all the time when needed(because voice roaming call is very expensive for this SIM, like 3 bucks/min which I reserved for really emergency situation).

Please let me know if we could use our speakout nokia phone to send a text overseas.

I used to be able to do it when i initially purchased my cell phone but now this priviledge has gone. I phone SO and they did some resetting and told me to try it but in vain.This went on 2 times but finally their excellent service called me to ask if it has been resolved and i said no, then they said perhaps i was trying to send thru MMS which i did not and dont know how.

Any suggestions i would appreciate. Also, my understanding i that the text will cost 25C or so.
