Well its been a year now since I got my 7-eleven speakout. I used to be on Fido prepaid paying $10+tax a month for 0.30 a minute and 0.30 a minute to check my voicemail. Last year in May 2007 I got my 7-eleven speakout phone via the buy $100 prepaid airtime and get the phone and simcard for free. With it I got $5 free airtime in the phone plus $100 totalling $105.00 of airtime. Then I ported my fido number over to speakout and never been happier.
- no more setting my reminder to refill my account every month
- I only pay $0.20/ minute
- its free to check my voicemail from a landline
- I get the full rogers coverage area instead of the smaller fido coverage

So like I said it been a year now. In December 2007 I won a $25.00 free speakout refill from Peter the owner of this website, extending my expiry date to Dec 2008. Its May 2008 now and I still have $48.60 in my speakout account ! a very good year indeed !
