I’m a very occasional cell phone user and recently bought a new phone. While surfing speakout portal I came across their 30 day data plan for $10. I have never used data on a cell phone previously, so I thought I’d give it a try. I assumed, perhaps foolishly, that the plan would end after 30 days, only to find it my account had been deducted following the 30 days, and the plan continued.
Although the agreement spells out how to cancel a plan, nowhere does it say plans are automatically renewed. I’ve been very happy with the talk and text plans for many years, it’s so disappointing to discover this.
