I also have a Nokia 1208. If it's similar to the 1208, all you have to do is click on Menu, then scroll over to 'Contacts', then scroll over to 'Own Numbers'. The phone number assigned to you will be there.

You may be able to edit your welcome screen to add the phone number there when you look at the screen.

At worst, you can put yourself on your phone list, naming yourself neals 555-5555 on the contact list.
