AFAIK, SO phones are unlocked, here is a simple test you can do to check it, ask a friend with a fido plan/prepaid to put their simcard into your Nokia 2760. If it says phone is locked then you will need to have it unlocked, otherwise you will see that it will boot up normally and you can make calls from that phone ie 611 etc

Hi all,

My first post here although I've been following the forum for some time.

I purchased a new Nokia 2760 from 7-11 last week and I assume it is locked to Rogers. I need to get it unlocked for travel to the US later this summer.

Has anyone unlocked this phone yet and was there any problem doing so?
