Basically anything that is not port 80/443 cannot pass through the proxy. Why Skype works(it was designed specifically handling this) but audio/video I doubt as that usually require some form of UDP which again cannot be proxied.

The above link is a 53-Page long forum, and I couldn't find any setting instructions on asproxy for SO.

Instead I found the following
http://forum.xda-developers.co.....?t=1025361

But I didn't try it, as I am using Droidproxy instead, which is also free. It works very well, particularly the auto on/off when I switch between wifi and 3G.

These apps works with Droidproxy + SO:
Ebay, yahoo mail, market, Gmail app, map, waze, Facebook app, YouTube, catch note, web browser including embedded videos, downloading files from sites like megavideo

These apps don't work:
K9 mail (imap), pocket cloud (RDP), Google+ messenger, netTALK, gtalk

So by now most have realised apps gotten broken a couple of days back.

There is a work around for all those who've rooted their phones, asproxy works a treat, check link below for configuring asproxy. Went with asproxy as it doesn't hang when coming out of sleep unlike autoproxy (although free) forced a phone reboot to get going again

I was desperate, didn't get a good deal, and paid $800 for a G Note. Although $800 isn't much compared to paying $30-50 per month for data for a 36-month contract. Most importantly, I get to have my G Note NOW, and I am very happy with it.

I already have an iPhone 4S with Fido. So my G Note is mainly used as a mobile tablet for me; i.e., I won't be making much calls and texting with it. However, it is my browsing-on-the-couch device at home and on-the-go. So far I am able to access Speakout's data on everything I need. In other words, I am yet to come across apps that don't work on SO's data. Am I the only one that thinks this is too good to be true?

I love that SpeakOut users are spending their money on good hardware, rather than wasting $50 per month on overpriced contracts.

note is waaay too big for one handed use especially without a case, feels very slippery, there's no chance i'd risk using it on transit one handed without a lanyard attached to it. that being said tempted to find case that would let wear it round my neck like an over large conference pass.
