I would recommend against it. To get the most out of Speakout, the phone has to be rooted and Sony does not make that easy. I would go as far as say do not get any Sony Android phone because the support is horrid. Not only is the support poor, Sony locks down their hardware so it is difficult to use 3rd party firmware. It is not worth the hassle.

I want to buy one of these phones and use a SO sim card. Will I be able to access my gmail and use the apps with the SO unlimited data plan? Will I have to Root my phone and how do I go about fixing the setting to do so? Or should I just use the Rogers plan and get raped?

Thanks for your help.
