Did your friend use it with Rogers, or did someone just stick a Rogers card in it?

It might be unlocked if your Fido card works in it. But as long as it works with a Rogers card you'll be fine with Speakout or PetroCan.

it has a Rogers sim card (prepaid service, $0 balance),
i put my girlfriend Fido sim card into this phone, it seems like working
does it mean, that this phone is unlocked ?
are Fido and Rogers Sim working in both companies locked phones?
can this phone used with 711 or Petrocan services ?
