You may have some trouble unlocking your Sony Ericsson P900. From what I hear, Sony Ericsson phones locked to the Fido network are very difficult and/or more expensive to unlock. Let me know if you're successful since I have a Sony Ericsson P800 that I would like to use on the Speakout Network as well

Does this mean I have to unlock the P900 because it was a FIDO phone? Or am I screwed because FIDO phones will not work with SO?

If the phone was originally locked to Fido then no, it won't work with SO. (However phones that were originally locked to Rogers will because they share the same network.)

You're not necessarily "screwed." You may be able to find someone locally or a service on the web that can unlock this phone for ~$25.

I have been able to run my SO SIM on a Sony Ericsson T68i, however I cannot run it on my Sony Ericsson P900. The P900 was formerly on the FIDO netwrok. The message I get on the P900 is "Wrong SIM Card" "Insert Correct SIM".

Does this mean I have to unlock the P900 because it was a FIDO phone? Or am I screwed because FIDO phones will not work with SO?
