You might be able to price match at Futureshop for a better price! It costs about a dollar to unlock, and once unlocked, should work on the big 3 in Canada and their flanker brands, and rest of the world. Might be Saturday only though.

feature phones tend not to be stolen, so I doubt carriers would waste their time setting up a black list. On the flip side, if you see someone selling a iphone 5s for $100, you should be concerned of how hot it is.

I am a frequent buyer and seller of phones on kijiji, and the results tend to be positive for me. I make sure I have a SIM card handy to test the phone of course.

The current stock of phones at factory direct are old and expensive. If you do have an eye on a phone let us know, we are pretty good at telling how suitable a phone is by it's model number.

* Would it be cheaper to buy in Asia? Where?

* AAAAND... a good price, good value... iPhone5, Samsung5, HTC1 etc are totally out of my range.
