I have a Sony Xperia X8 that I use for Speakout UMB with autoproxy. The phone is often laggy, the autoproxy crashes, etc. I am looking for a recommendation for a reasonably priced upgrade, that is unlockable and rootable (if not already unlocked and rooted), and will run 3G on the Rogers/speakout network. Also, it would be simpler if it took a mini sim, since I would rather not have to trim my speakout sim. BTW, I am in Montreal.

Does anyone have suggestions? I don't want to spend what a Nexus S III would cost.

Thanks
