The IMEI is used by Speakout for reference purposes, so they have an idea what you have for a phone when you call them. Fortunately, Speakout does not tie it's services to the IMEI, which means you can use any phone you want. So do not worry about the IMEI, Your Speakout SIM should work on any phone, and if it doesn't, it is not something Speakout did.

Just a quick question on the relationship between phone number, SIM and IMEI.
I activated a SIM with the IMEI of a GSM phone 6 months ago. I purchased a new phone for my wife and move the SIM to the new phone. She is using the new phone with the old SIM card. I want to use the old phone myslef so I purchased a new SIM card activate it using the IMEI fo my old phone and I got a new number. In this situation, there are two phone numbers associated with a single IMEI. My understanding is the phone number goes with the SIM. I am not sure if it is OK for two phone to go with a single IMEI. Should I call Speakout to associated the first phone number with the IMEI of my new cell phone ?
