I am buying a new iPhone from someone. He sent me the serial number and I checked it on the Apple website. It says the phone is not activated yet. The guy said it is still sealed and do not want to open it. The phone is locked to Rogers and he will give me his receipt. He said I can activate it at an Apple Store later with no problems.

Do you guys think I am safe going ahead with our transaction? First time I am buying an unactivated phone.
