All I did wasput in my SO card and it worked immediately. I also used my SO sim in my samsung(Roger;s) and it also worked right away. Both instances kept all my contacts and settings. Although I have not tried my petro sim in either phones. I guess I am not interested in the plan.

I put in a Rogers sim and it worked, but when I put in a Fido sim, it rejected it. So, you are right, it is locked.
How/who did you use to unlock your 3555?

When I have tried to use it with other SIMs, like Fido or Orange (from a EU country), I have discovered it was locked to Petro-Canada.

I have managed to use it in Europe after I have unlocked it there.
