Apparently the store opens them all to put their store code on the activation instructions...

After re-charging it a couple times it seems to last longer, 3 days now on standby. I confirm the volume issues the previous poster is having. The quality isn't very good bordering on unacceptable. I will probably get an unlocked phone for xmas and try and sell this one for $20.

Even after pushing the vol to max , communication appears to be one way ....

Deal said:

I don't think it is unreasonable for me to expect longer than 24 hour standby charge on this phone yet that is all I get. I really wonder if the battery was switched out on me before I purchased it. The box was not sealed when I bought it. Should I return it? WWYD?

The other issue is that I purchased a Plantronics Voyager 520 bluetooth headset and cannot get the phone to pair to it. It just doesn't see it. I tried my older Samsung A640 (virgin) and it paired just fine so I doubt it is an issue with the headset.

Any suggestions?

I would return it. Since the box is not sealed, it seems like you got a return.
