I'm traveling to the US this week and would like to purchase a T-mobile sim for use in my 1600, and I need to know if the 1600 is locked or not.

Anyone know?

Unlocked. (If you bought it from SpeakOut in Canada. Nokia 1600 phones purchased from other sources maybe locked.)

The SpeakOut Nokia 1600 in Canada is unlocked, while the SpeakOut Nokia 1600 purchased in the USA is locked to the area code attached to the sim.
