I have a Nokia 1208 as well, and I have never had this problem. It seems like you may have a defective phone, or you may be inadvertently pressing the "end call" button. If it keeps doing it, it may be time for a new phone.

Your options seem a bit limited with that phone. You might want to purchase a headset for it, I cannot think of anything else other than looking for a new unlocked phone.

I am an infrequent cell phone user; I have a Nokia 1208 on hand for emergency use. My problem is whenever I place a call I disconnect myself, probably because I hold the device too close to my ear. Silly, I know, but is there anyway to deal with this - other than hold the phone farther away from myself, which I have tried but always seem to disconnect anyway? I am still getting used to this phone and could use some advice. Thanks.
