It would not work at all with the battery still in the phone as stated before.
I bought my DT-14 from Ebay. You should be able to find it reasonably priced there, or you can google it, to see what other online sellers are selling it.
No, it wasn't supposed to come with the phone. It is an add-on accessory. I don't think you will know if it's the phone's fault, but I highly suspect it's the battery's fault if the phone does not show anything on the display at all.

Is there any way to check to see if it's the phone's fault? It won't even display the "Charging..." blinking sign!!!

If you can, take the battery out of the phone, and charge the battery by itself, using a charger like the Nokia DT-14 desktop charger. I thought my battery was totally dead as well, until I used my DT-14. Even when I tried to charge the battery when it was in the phone, it would not charge. All is good now.

You can try getting a replacement battery off of Ebay, but if it's not the battery, then you're screwed.

Why not take advantage of Speakout's latest offer? Buy a $100 airtime card and get a $60 or $80 phone for half price. Sure, it'll cost you $30 or $40, but you'll have a new phone and battery, then you can sell the included, unused SIM for about $30.
