Hi,
The phone worked in South America on the Orange Network. I assume it is locked. If so, what kind of cost is it to unlock it (roughly). Also who can I take it too to unlock?
Thanks for your input!!

It's not a matter of whether the sim card will work in the Motorola phone, it's whether your Motorola phone is unlocked and will accept a foreign network's SIM.

Good luck finding the 1112. It's been discontinued and there will be no new stock for this phone.

The 1112 is a very basic phone. Works well, but sometimes I had an echo on it depending on the location. The 2610 is similar to the 1112, but it has a colour display and the ability for web. It feels more sturdy than the 1112.

I just got a 2610 from PetroCanada and that took 4 attempts before I was able to get that one. When I finally got one, the station manager told me it's his last one and he won't be getting any new stock. He thinks that this phone will be discontinued soon.

Can the sim card from the Nokia 1112 work with a Motorolla v-500 phone??
