If it's AT&T or T-Mobile, it needs to be unlocked before you can use your speakout sim.

Your identity (phone number/balance, etc) on the network is tied to the sim card, not the phone.

Do I need to buy an unlocked phone or can I just pop the sim from my current 2760 into the new one?
