It should work, but please let us know for sure. The only potential issue I can think of is that older versions of Android OS did not work well with Speakout proxy settings, but that bug applied to order versions of Android. Being a Rogers phone, I have high confidence this phone should just work with Speakout. In any case, you are still the first guinea pig!

Wow, I had a lucky week, I got the news yesterday that I won a Motorola Flipout from Rogers. I am super curious to know if I'll be able to use this with Speak out (just going with the basic top ups for a bit of talk and text), and hoping to use the Wifi for email/ facebook. Do you guys think that this could work?
In the meantime, I had purchased 3!!! Nokia C-3s from Future Shop, two of which I'll have to return: after I had bought the 1st one (intended for a family member), FS had a flash-online-sale for $ 20 less, and the stupid thing is, they wouldn't adjust the price of the phone I had ordered (I hadn't even received it yet!), instead they told me to purchase a new (on sale) one and return the first one. And I figured, for that price, I'd upgrade my old Nokia 1661, but now that I've won the contest, I'll have to return it as well.
