In Googling TracPhone it appears that their business model is to sell phones as a loss leader to gain sales of minutes and as such have made their phones very difficult to unlock. Looks like this is not a worthwhile path to pursue.

Tracfone uses propriety software, and I haven't heard of someone unlocking one. Not saying it can't be done though. I used to have a Tracfone CDMA phone years ago, and I know that phone was not able to be unlocked. It could be the same with Tracfone GSM phones.
