Got this phone as a Roger's pre-paid (~$120), unlocked it ($12), and it seems to work pretty well on SO. Browsing and some apps work fine over the network, including google maps with saved maps. However I can't get any email app to work (the native email app, the yahoo app or the gmail app), except via WiFi. I guess that means I have to root it and do the proxy thing. But I have one question: there is lots of info on the web about rooting the L3 E400 model but nothing about rooting the E400R model. Does the R just mean rogers and its essentially the same thing? I wanted to check to see if anyone knows before trying it... Any help would be appreciated!
