What are the "more elegant solutions"? I just started researching portable internet options because hubby is away from home until Sept. for job training and where he's located right now the building isn't hooked up for internet. I have no idea why it isn't hooked up seeing as it's in a major city and I'm sure there'd be a market for it with all the guys and gals stuck there for training, but anyway I need something not crazy expensive for short-term use.

You would not be able to do it unless the internet stick is totally unlocked and debranded, You would still have to set up proxy settings with the browser. I did it with a PCMCIA card. It worked, but I did not see the point when there are other more elegant solutions, that are not much more expensive.

Maybe a stupid question, but I'm wondering if you can get the unlimited browsing and then stick your SIM card in a Rogers or Bell internet stick. Thanks for any info.
