The 1600 has the same problem but it too is a good phone especially for "free."

FWIW I recently saw 1600s for sale in phone shops in Europe (unlocked, no airtime) for at least EUR50 which is CA$75.

After using Nokia 2610 for few months, is good phone, good reception -- but 2610 has one fault -- you will not be able to see the screen too well in sunny day (even with backlight on). I do not know about 1600, if has same issue with the display. Nevertheless, I would not trade 2610, it just looks nice.

is the 1600 a good phone or should i go with the 2600. i like that the 1600 has better talk and standby time but is the reception etc. as good as the 2600. ,oh i am only using the phone for calling and recieving calls thanks
