Gmail set up as an exchange account works perfectly for incoming and outgoing mail, so I don't understand what the Rogers SMTP info is about? Will that allow me to send mail from my Rogers account, but still not allow me to receive from Rogers?

Spent a few hours figuring this all out, so thought I'd share.

As you know/have figured out SO doesn't allow non-port 80 connections.

Firstly, set up your iPhone to use SO's WAP. https://www.speakoutwireless.ca/speak/phone-features/iphone-3gs-with-new-unlimited-data-plan/#p12525

Then set up your regular email account.

For SMTP (outbound email) use Rogers SMTP -
smtp.rogerswirelessdata.com
No user Name & password
SSL OFF
Port 25

Use Gmail exchange for incoming. (http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx.....h-support/) Press reply and specify other email address in "from" field.

Done!
