None of their pay phone can make long distance call, plus all pay phone ONLY accept coins !! No credit card !! that is stupid with an "international" airport.

It is very easy to get a pay as you go SIM in europe, most asian countries and all are very cheap in terms of rate.

They offer US SIM cards that will work in an unlocked phone (roaming uses T-Mobile). According to their website:

No. Last week, I went to San Francisco landed on San Francisco International Airport. I went through the whole airport, including International and local terminals try to buy a USA SIM card, but none of a store selling mobile SIM, or any mobile phone, or offer mobile plans. The airport WiFi is suck, it came on and off ALL THE TIME. I cannot use Whatsapp or Line or Viber at all. Roaming is costly with Canadian Rogers Wireless.

the good thing though is, it is SO MUCH cheaper to get data any where outside Canada. The general rate is about 10 dollars(be it euro/pound etc.) for about 1 month usage(around 1-2GB).

So, to me, Speakout's data plan is not for me because in Canada, WiFi is so common and free in so many places around. I simply park my car outside a Starbucks or some McDonald/Tim Hortons, libraries etc, I can get it free. But when I need it most (outside Canada), this Data plan provide no service.

The web browsing service is not equivalent to a full data plan, since everything must go through the Speakout proxy (port 80/443). This means most apps will not work unless you have a way to make them go through the proxy. This is easier on some phones than others.

1) I wonder if Speakout's data plan can use in other countries, such as USA, Europe, Japan, Hong Kong etc to surf the internet?
2) With Speakout data plan, is that means I can also use Whatsapp, LINE and Viber etc, wherever I can surf the net?
