That only works from a landline, NOT on the cell phone.

You have to dial or program in one of the numbers in my link.

I press and hold the 1 and I simply get the beeps you get when you phone your own number. I found a reference in this forum to hold the # key at the same time, but no luck. The manual just says to press and hold the 1 key. I see a voice mail setup option in the MESSAGING menu item and have entered my number (with area code) in there. Maybe I'm missing something?
