I was able to find some info by googling, about someone who tried Rogers C3 with SO SIM and found that it did not work (the usual "it turns on but blacks out" story). These phones are advertised and unlocked prepaid phones so, I don't know. I'm not going to try Rogers C3 since I'm sure it's my SIM and it won't work with Rogers either. Some people have reported success so I guess it all depends on your SIM.

Historically, locked Rogers phones have worked with Speakout SIM cards. Only a few Chatr or FIDO phones worked. I do hope you try out a Rogers phone, and lets us know your results.

Bought Chatr C3 from futureshop and it didn't work with SIM from my Nokia2220 I got a year ago.
On this forum, I read some say it did work (old SIM?) with Chatr C3 while some says it didn't (newer SIM?), basically it turns on but screen goes blank in a few seconds like previously reported.
I tested my luck and failed. Which is pity cuz I really liked the phone for a short while I played with its WLAN.
Initially I was going to get Rogers C3 but sales person suggested Chatr cuz it comes with bluetooh headset.
Do you think it might have worked with Rogers C3?
I'm afraid to try Rogers C3 now. The very thought of having to return another opened item to futureshop and all.
