        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>You blackberry 8300 should be able to use Speakout data once you input the correct APN settings.  If it is a Rogers phone it should already be configured.  I do not know if you can message through blackberry's servers with Speakout data, but you can certainly browse and tether.  </p>
<p>To get data, just call a speak out representative to activate it.  You might get a speech from them saying data will not work on a 1661, or that they do not support 3rd party phones, but after that, they will activate data on your Speakout SIM.</p>

<p>I recently found an 8300, put my sim in it and talking and texting works fine.</p>
<p>For service it says "GSM" from what I understand for data to work it needs to say "GPRS". If I get the unlimited data, will this change? or can I not get data because my original phone (1661) was not capable of it?</p>
