I have a PC phone, and I am going to dump it as soon as the $100 promotion at SO starts. With PC, my cost works out to $75 per year ($25 every 4 months) - I don't use a lot of minutes. With SO, my cost can be as low as $25 per year. Since my daughter uses her phone more than me, I will give her the $100 airtime and buy another $25 for mine.

If for some reason the PC phone is still the best choice for you, you can buy airtime on their website.

So, is this deal worth it? Or is the promotion with Speakout starting November 16th still a better one?

It depends on your needs. If you want a 365 SIM then SO is better. If you use up $25 airtime quickly then PCM is better.

And of course, if you want to browse the 'Net on a cellphone then $8/month beats $40,000/GB. Then again, if ztar was able to negotiate reasonable rates with Rogers for PCM then they should be able to do likewise with SO. Stay tuned.

Added: According to PCM's website, $8/month is a promo rate. After the first month it's $10 for 30 days. Still good, but not as good as $8.

I love Petro-Canada because they have so many outlets near my house. I can walk to any gas stations in any direction.

I just checked on Petro-Canada Mobility's website and they are offering the Nokia 1661 for $30 with the purchase of a $25 airtime voucher!

Also, they now offer unlimited internet browsing for $8 a month.
