I can't for the life of me get the web access working on my iPhone 4 (ios4.3.3, JB, activated, gevey sim)
Called 5 hours ago, signed up for the UMB bundle. Got the text it was active.
Followed the iPhone config. util. steps here http://www.binarysearchtree.co.....kout.shtml using the Petro-Canada settings in their FAQ.
did a hard restart. Reboot etc etc... Turned wifi on and off. Airplane mode on and off... etc... but won't recognize the cell data network.
Any ideas? Thanks.

Well I don't know if it was waiting an extra day or what but I removed the profile installed by iPhone configurator and then visited http://www.unlockit.co.nz and used their profile for petro and all is good now. And the speed was over 5mbit/s in the speed test.net app.
Hope that helps someone down the road.

Speakout opened the ports on their mobile browsing so you dont need a proxy to access the internet.
Have you tried to remove the proxy and see if apps like magic jack and skype work on the unlimited data plan with Petro (they are pretty much the same company)
for 49.95 if it includes data/calling/text would be the best plan available.
