Another interesting development: an offer with free incoming calls, which is the first I've seen in Canada on a pay as you go plan; offer supposedly only until Oct 31 though: http://www.windmobile.ca/en/Pa.....rvice.aspx

That gets the wheels on my head moving. $10 for unlimited incoming would really compliment Speakout data. Add freephonline.ca, a VOIP carrier, and you get an awesome trio of unlimited calling.

Here is my thinking. You use freephoneline.ca as the primary phone number you want everyone to call, and you forward that to your Wind number. You would then have free voice mail, which freephoneline offers for free.

For $50, you can buy freephoneline SIP settings, which gives you a lot of options, but in this situation, you can use these settings with another VOIP provider called Voxalot. What is great about Voxalot, is that for $15 a year, you can use and awesome feature called Web Call back. That allows you to use a web browser to call a phone number, like you wind mobile phone, and connect to another number of your choice. So you now have unlimited outgoing calls from your Wind phone, and all you needed was a web browser. That is where Speakout data can come in handy.

Interesting new offering:

http://www.windmobile.ca/en/Pa.....rvice.aspx

Lacks a few things that Speak Out Wireless provides:
- Voicemail is an extra $5 per month
- Only the $100 top-up lasts 365 days
- Texting is more expensive
- Coverage and phone options are more limited

But, there are some interesting advantages:
- Unlimited incoming for $10 a month
- Unlimited texting for $5 a month
- US roaming on a pay as you go basis
- Online purchase of airtime
- Seems like there's no 911 fee
