As for assigning the new Rogers number, you will have to ask Rogers that. This is the SpeakOut forum, and not Rogers. 😉

Since this thread has mostly talked about Rogers, am now moving it to the "Other Carriers" forum 🙂

Do you know if Rogers are selling sim cards separately or do you have to buy a phone from them in order to get the sim card? Thanks in advance.

Currently, the only way to top-up is to go to a physical 7-Eleven store. Airtime vouchers do come up for sale on this site as well, so that's a place you can look.

The 7-Eleven phones will only work if they are unlocked. Some older phones were sold unlocked, but SpeakOut has been locking their phones of late. However, a Rogers sim will work in a locked SpeakOut phone. A Telus sim (or Fido) sim will not work in a locked SpeakOut phone though.

Thanks. Is it correct that there is no way to get a fill-up other than going to a participating 7-eleven store? I am currently in Banff, AB and am out of credit. When going here I was convinced there was a way to top up via the phone, but this doesn't seem to be the case?

Do you know if 7 eleven phones operate with other SIM cards (say Telus, Rogers etc), if one was forced to go for that option?

Thanks for all your help in this forum.
