koodo may require credit check which can be difficult for visitors.

how long are you expecting to stay ? If it is not too long, Rogers or Telus Prepaid both has data plan which is 'reasonable' so long you don't do video(i.e. don't exceed their cap).

we need to know the usage pattern about data if data is important.

I think using Koodo http://koodomobile.com/en/ns/index.shtml with data connect 2GB is your best option in your situation, It will cost you at a minimum $40 plus tax a month though. For $5 more, you can get Unlimited messaging which includes international text and picture messages.

Hi,

I've had a browse through the posts but all confused with it all now !!!

I'm coming to Canada (Ontario) from England Mid November and currently have an unlocked Iphone 4 that I will be bringing with me and want to know which plan would be best.

I don't think I'll be using the phone to make calls a lot but receiving texts and occasionally sending texts back to the UK as well as a 'data' plan so that I can also use Skype to call back home free.

I like the idea of unused credit not expiring after a month so no issues with buying $50-$100 worth when I land together with a SIM.

Any help on the best options available would be great.

Cheers
