I assume, if your using 7-11, you are using less than 100 min per month, otherwise you would probably be using another service which is less expensive for those with higher usage.
If even half of these minutes were long distance the extra cost would be less than 50 tines $0.10 or > $5.00 per month.

There are no 711's near me - the closest was an hour away, got home and called the phone, answered it for about 10 seconds, then hung up. Was charged 20 cents, not 30 cents. So.... incoming calls, even if you are outside of your service area are not charged long distance. This is how Rogers Paygo treats the calls. VM charges you the airtime rate + 25 cents/minute for long distance when you are receiving a call outside your home area.

This *is* the way most carriers do it, but Rogers PayGo incoming long distance is free(not with their postpaid plans tho). So if you have a Toronto number and you're in Vancouver and someone in Vancouver calls you, they pay LD, but you don't. If someone in Toronto calls you, no one pays LD. I'm on VM right now but I'm a light user and would probably switch as I mainly use my phone when I'm on the road and it's mainly incoming calls. Anyhow, appreciate knowing if anyone has testing this and knows for sure. -Mark
