yep to keep costs down there is no web based itemized list of usage for SO, same for most prepaids eg. virgin.

.

i usually call 611 and press 2 every morning to check balance (only takes 20 seconds). depending on your phone it might have call logging feature which makes it super easy to see exactly how minutes used on inbound and outgoing calls. and tracking texts is even easier. so no problem keeping track if you really want to..

I don't make many calls so it's not hard to keep track of them on a slip of paper, then reconcile once a month.

My young daughter was babbled on why sometime her account was reduced a significant amount of money and she didn't have time to phone customer service to find out.

I think all is worked out now. I called back, actually got through, talked to SO CS, and got a call back from a nice manager. We went over my numbers/calculations and I must have misheard 1 of my previous balances. It's all good now but I'll keep a watch in the future just in case.

I just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed strange billing "irregularities" with their SO phone. In the past I never really worried about it because I've used my SO phone so much. But lately, I haven't used my SO phone that much so it's become more obvious, especially for this month. This month, I've only rec'd 1 text msg and haven't used the phone at all. According to SO math, that should be 5 cents foir the msg plus 99 cents for the 911 fee which equals $1.04 in charges. And yet, $1.06 was taken off my balance. What's up with that?

In previous months, I've noticed that my balance never seems to "match" a round number calculation. Even with the 99 cent 911 charge taken into consideration, my balance seems to be off by pennies, which should never happen in the world of 5 cent text msgs, 25 cent local calls, etc.

Has anyone else noticed this?
