7/11 charges for each text message received (5 cents), so I was wondering, if anyone else has been receiving strange/useless text messages?

Today (just now), I received 2 blank text messages from 416-294-7826. I was charged 10 cents...
I'm not sure if this is spam to service charge, or spam from other annoying sources. So now I'm wondering if this is common or uncommon occurrence.
