<p>It's unfortunate that SpeakOut are now locking their phones, but most providers do. I have a Nokia 1208 I bought a year ago, and it's unlocked, but the Nokia 5130 I got just short time ago is locked.</p>

        	        	<description><![CDATA[<p>A locked phone means that only that particular provider's SIM card will work in that phone.<br />
For instance, if you have a T-Mobile (USA provider) phone that's locked, only a T-Mobile SIM card will work with it. You will not be able to use another provider's (AT&#38;T/Rogers)SIM card in that phone. If you do put in another SIM card, the phone's screen will say "SIM not valid", or another similar message.</p>
