I always remember it running in Nov thru Dec only. It would seem unusual for them to run one promo right after the other one. I would think SO would wait a month between to "let the dust settle" before starting another promo.

Otherwise all the people that bought the 1/2 off promo during the last couple of weeks would just return them to get the new promo.

Time will tell if if will start right on October 1st.
